Spatial Analysis

 I received my GIS certificate from Western Washington University in fall of 2022. I originally took the introductory course to satisfy a major requirement, but I was fascinated with the new set of skills I was introduced to and started thinking about the ways I could apply mapmaking to my work as a journalist. I kept on with the series, and have now completed GIS courses with emphasis on cartography, geoprocessing and modeling, spatial analysis and design. I also have experience with using ArcGIS Online to create digital web apps, web maps and visual story maps. I am excited to apply these spatial data visualization and communication skills to my environmental reporting.
